The influences that make this a great wine region also make the weather wonderful.  Lake Erie and Lake Ontario keep the summers cool and the winters warmer than one would expect and the Escarpment keeps the winds from whipping across the peninsula.  As a result, the temperatures year-round are quite inviting.
