Their modern cuisine includes "Grande lasagne" of spider crab in a mousseuse crayfish sauce and warm soufflé with Cointreau and lime.  Their restaurant has an aristocratic dining room and exquisite terrace, both of which have views over the Auvergne countryside. They are closed October 27 to November20, February 15 to March 14, Sundays and Mondays from Nov. to mid April except public holidays.

The decor seems not to have changed for decades: You enter through a pretty café and you feel as thought the decor of the dining room has not changed in decades.  Dishes are based on local produce, making the traditional cuisine of Loire with menus at a great price.  They are closed February 16 to March 14 March, Tuesday evening and Wednesday.

A very casual dining experience, you can opt to take a table in the rustic dining room (with a wide selection of dishes) or an express meal in the crêperie.  They are closed November 18 to 29 and January 13 to February 10.

Licorne is located in an elegant 18th century house with a small-enclosed garden, which serves as a terrace.  Their traditional cuisine includes ravioli of prawns with basil, sauce of morels. Lamb sweetbreads pan-fried and flavored with sage (spring) along with sweets that include rhubarb tart, strawberry sorbet. They are closed mid December to the end of January, Wednesday evening out of season, Sunday evening and Monday.

Located at the center of this small, fortified, Medieval town, L'Hostellerie Saint-Jean is a simple, intimate restaurant where the main room is friendly and simple, while the lounge is more modern.  This is the perfect destination for lunch as the owner/chef takes the best of traditional cuisine and accents it with contemporary ideas.  They are closed February holidays, Sunday evening and Monday.
